Speedway Grand Prix is back

Last night was a wonderful change as it has been a long winter and the Speedway Grand Prix season is back with a vengeance. The start of the meeting was fantastic and it made a massive change from the last one at the end of last year.

The final meeting of 2007 was probably the dullest meeting all year as the was a single line only that worked, so nobody made a passing move after the first three corners. Last night, the passing went on throughout all four laps as riders made their moves using many available lines, resulting in Speedway at its best as one passing move was followed by an immediate pass back.

We have started a Fantasy Grand Prix competition on the Exeter Falcons Fans Forum and I am firmly planted at the foot of the table after the first meet of the season. Things can only get better from here on in.

Today we have an oppressive atmosphere similar to those that preceded a thunderstorm. I wonder what the afternoon has in store.

HELLO

Little Daisy has just stuck her head up under my elbow and is resting her head on the front of the computer to see what I am doing. She is now looking up at my face and can see that I am focussed on the screen. Daisy is our 'old lady' cat.

Bye all.
